Courtney Mazeika is a dancer, choreographer, and educator originally from the US

- she currently dances with Norrdans.

 

She performed and collaborated with UNA Productions from 2018 - 2022.

As a freelance artist, Courtney has had the opportunity to perform in works by

Tom Weinberger, Bobbi Jene Smith, David Harvey, Christian Burns, Marissa Brown, Crossings SF, Alex Ketley, UNA Productions, and in collaborative works with

Marlie Couto & Max Judelson.

 

From 2015-2018, Courtney had the honor of being on faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance.  She has also served on the faculty for the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program and directed the SALT Contemporary Dance Pre-Professional Training Company for two seasons.

She has taught open classes, workshops, and movement labs through institutions such as The Playground NYC, Repertory Dance Theatre, SALT Contemporary Dance, UNA Productions, Chop Shop: Bodies of Work, and more.  Courtney has previously worked as a rehearsal assistant for Tom Weinberger’s original creations at Johannes Weiland Dance Company (Kassel), SUNY Purchase, Arts Umbrella (VBC), and more.  She has also served as rehearsal director at North-West Arkansas Ballet Theatre, Oquirrh West Project, and SALT Contemporary Dance.

Her independent choreography has been shared at the Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition (second place prize), Chop Shop Contemporary Dance Festival, Austin Dance Festival, University of Texas at Austin, Utah Valley University, SALT Contemporary Dance I and II, Oquirrh West Project and more.

She received her BFA in Dance from the University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduation, she moved to train with Summer Lee Rhatigan at the 

San Francisco Conservatory of Dance.
